INTRODUCTION
WORLD SOLAR CHALLENGE
The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is a prestigious event that challenges the minds of domestic and international university students. Teams compete to design and build a vehicle that exclusively harnesses the power of the sun to get it across the Australian desert.
In 2021, Deakin University will join the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge competing against institutions from Australia and across the globe to push the limits of technological innovation and travel the outback in a vehicle powered only by the energy of the sun.

AIMS

Squad Three's project is to create a tool that can visualise the weather data that has been collected so far. These data will be used to create a race strategy for Deakin's cars that will be in the event. Therefore, we create the 'PredictApp' to solve this problem.

PredictApp will retrieve the historical weather data from 11 shortlisted weather stations along the route of the race. The data will be visualised in tabular and graph form. In the future development, this app can investigate the key trends across the data and will be able to provide a recommendation to the user whether the user has to increase or decrease the speed based on the current weather conditions.

MY ROLES ON PROJECT
SPRINT 4
APPLICATION TESTER
Aside from my role as a development team manager, I was also an application tester. I was asked to test the application to make sure all the features are working as expected. Aside from testing, I also wrote a short report of the bug in our web application.
SPRINT 4
DEVELOPMENT TEAM MANAGER
As success in managing the design team, On sprint 4, I was assigned to be the development team manager. We were going to build a web application that retrieves the weather data from the database and visualising them into a graph and table data. In this task, I was working mostly on the style of design of web application (HTML & CSS) and writing a report on the achieved work of development team.
SPRINT 3
DESIGN TEAM MANAGER
In our third sprint, we were planned to strategising on how to build the tools we are going to produce on the showcase. I was assigned to be the design team manager. As a manager, I was dividing tasks to another team member. I was working on creating the wireframe for the application and writing the report for the achieved work of the Design Team.
SPRINT 1 - SPRINT 2
DATA COLLECTION TEAM MANAGER
During our first and second sprint, I was assigned to be the data collection manager. We were asked to collect weather data (Temperature, Solar Intensity, Wind, & Rainfall) from October in 5 years.

SUMMARY
The overall experience that I got during working on this project is so valuable for me. As because of this, I can gain more connections with new people, working and communicating as a team, and working on an actual real-life project. I can also learn how to work and how it feels working on agile project management. I can also learn new skills like web development skills and UI design skills, even though my course major is way different than the project we are working on. I believe will all my learning during this capstone project can help me in the future.
